The promise of The Waterfront is now a reality. To date, over $60 million has been invested in new infrastructure, including the Waterfront Park, the expansion of West Columbia Way, and a master planned 32-acre, 20-city block development that now includes the Riverwest and Rediviva apartment buildings, The Murdock office building and The Don and The Jean restaurant buildings.  The Hotel Indigo, with 40 attached condominiums is well under way with construction and the AC Marriott recently broke ground as well.  Additionally, two additional multi-family developments will commence construction next year, adding an additional 428 apartment units to the 270 now completing their lease up. 

High density zoning of the remaining blocks will accommodate many types of uses and sizes of development.  Residential, office, retail, and additional hotel uses are all permittable on this stunning riverfront property in a “new urban” environment.  The master plan allows for an expedited permitting process; developers can likely break ground on new projects within a year of the submittal of plans.  The overall master plan resides in a designated opportunity zone, offering developers access to alternative financing and unique investor profiles.
